Tint help

Ok so before I do my performance mods,exhaust,coldair etc. I am staying with finishing what I would call appearance mods. so list is debadge,shorty ant,2.1 bills all around, sst pros 295-65-20, and .25 wheel spacers just for looks,black gorilla lugs on oem black rims. love the look but she needs tint and black ram heads front and rear to finish my exterior mods. so TINT QUESTION do I just have the front windows done to match rear doors and back window. Tint is factory. I am in ny state and have had before and really never been bothered. And I would like to keep it that way. So does just doing front to match achieve the look plus keep me safe or do I need to go a shade or to darker. I know there are % tint #s but I am clueless at tint. Any help or advice would be great. thanks again. Oh yay truck is a 2016 quad cab 1500 white black accents.

The % on tint numbers is the amount of light transmitted through the tint film. Having said that, I did 30% on the front windows and it looks well balanced and close to factory rears. I think it would look OK with tint between 30-45%. 45% I believe would be lighter than factory.

I usually did go 45-55% in the past. First time for darker 30% for me. looks better from the outside. From inside, after getting used to it, I like it. No visibility issues at night.

I just told my tint guy to match the front to the rears, black out the rear window and give me an anti-glare film on the windshield.

if you want just the 2 front windows to match from the outside go with 15%, the factory tint is like 18% to 20% but the light from the windshield will make the front appear lighter if you went with 20% upfront.

If you want it to match just go 15-20%. I went 5% all around and even over the factory tint and 35 on the windshield and it's dark.

Nope...that's a "sun visor".

Anti-glare is a film, much like tint, with polarizing properties. Cuts down glare from street lights, oncoming vehicles, etc...especially when it's wet and dark. It gets applied to the inside of the entire windshield.

We get a lot of that wet and dark condition here.

there was a guy in a facebook group im in that was selling 4th gen "smoked windows." the tint was built in to the glass and matched the backs perfectly. i think they cost about 215 each for driver and passenger but that was in canadian dollars. best part is that they are DOT approved in canada so a cop couldnt really give you a ticket for them, probably a hassle at best
