So, I got lucky and had 2 sets of tails here ready to go, one set is our Level 2 (medium) and one set is Level 3 (dark). We will also offer a Level 1 (light / smoke) for customers that are looking to knock out the red without going as dark as Level 2. :birgits_tiredcoffee

Now that's tinted. Lol. More like it. I like the uncovered reverse and cargo light. The same way mine was done.

I think as soon as the customer sees the dark ones...........he'll love 'em! I won't say who they are for yet (member here!).

On the backup and cargo - I can do them either way, but I anticipate that most will leave them clear.

Oh man. I need a set! Lol.

I'm sure we can figure something out!

Looks good but looks 100% the same as my vht ones any way we can see the light output.

I got in a set of VHT'd tails this week. Holy crap.......either the guy just did a really ****** job on them, or VHT just blows. Either way, I'll stick to automotive paints and clear.

Light output will need to wait until the customer gets them. I do not install customer parts on my truck.

Thats awesome JJ!!!! Shoot me a PM with prices.

Oh I don't need to PM these:

Tails - 100 shipped
3rd - 45 shipped

If done together - 135 shipped.

I normally don't post up prices, due to parts costs potentially going up, etc. BUT, if my paint costs go up to the point that I can't make it wok for these prices - I just won't do them anymore. :superhack:

How much does the paint effect the light output?

Same as any tinted tail. ;) We'll have pics as soon as possible!

Very nice! It's really tempting, but I'm always afraid of someone rear-ending me, using the whole "I couldn't see your brake lights" crap. My '00 has lightly tinted tails (like 2 coats of VHT) really dig it.

I've seen a lot of show trucks with the lights painted to match (blue in particular). I highly doubt it's 'legal' but it sure looks neat! (I think on a white truck, they'd just look pink, no thanks!)

Have you opened up a set of taillights yet?

Alot of the show trucks paint there lights and pop them all on for shows then after put on normal ones,And think he said its senseless to pop open tails since the lens is red.

Yeah, I haven't cracked a set yet. Bingo, red tails - won't do any good to mess with the insides (for painting purposes)

Wth is that sounds like a secret amphibian water craft.

Worlds fastest production motorcycle. (atleast it was...?) The ZX14 is right up there too. as is the S1000 RR.

I want to open up the tails and paint everything inside black. (other than the reflector surface). I saw something similar done on some retrofit forum and it had a really kick ass end effect.
