2013 1500 Sport, the blue wire under the 42 pin connector burned up it and the connector causing the a/c not to work. It was suggested the the tipm was also bad. So, changed the blower motor, new 10 gauge blue wire and 42 pin connector along with a New TIPM from Maks Tipm rebuilders. New not rebuilt tipm. After all installed, the abs and brake lights on the dash came on. Maks said must do a hard reset by removing and connecting the battery cables with zip ties for 11 hours....did that this weekend. Now the controls on the steering wheel don't work including the horn and radio controls. This has been nothing short of a nightmare on this truck.
It's not blown fuses, suggestions have been a bad clockspring. However, other suggestions are the 11 hour drain suggested by Maks TIPM caused the issue.
Any suggestions is appreciated. $1100 into this venture as of today.....dealer wants $210 plus tax for diagnostic.

Sometimes it take a day / few start cycles or so for all the stuff to be re-recognized and start working again.

Put a scantool on it and see if there are any comms issues.

I still have the old tipm that I took out. The issue with it was the a/c, I put it back in and the same issue as the new one. No horn, cruise control or radio controls on the steering wheel are working. Is it possible the 11 hour hard reset that Maks TIPM rebuilders by zip-tie the battery cables together for 11 hours caused an issue? Strange that this issue only started after installing the new tipm with the 11 hour reset. I seen several have mentioned normally a few hours is all that's needed.
