hey y'all
I got a couple questions
I have a 2017 ram 2500 crew cab long bed 6.4 hemi truck
this month is one year with the truck
so far I have 14k miles
Not one single issue with it
The more I drive it the more I love it
Anyways
I put a set of vision fury 399 wheels on
17x8.5 0 offset
They look great but factory tires aren't my favorite
I was looking at a 295/70 tire
My truck is on stock suspension and I have no plans on leveling it or lifting it
Is this the biggest tire I can fit with no lift or level
I have searched but cannot find this exact setup so thought I would ask
I have heard a 305 wound fit also but I haven't seen it on my rim

Also I am looking at am amerihood functional ram air hood
Anyone here have one
My question is
Will it let water in through the heat extractor area and just filth up my engine bay
How is the fit of the hood if anyone has one
I know I will have to have it finished and painted just curious on the water into the engine compartment/air filter

Also anyone using spyder halo lights on their truck how do you like them
I am looking at their angel eye lights
My truck is a tradesman and since I have had it a year and love it

Just looking at some upgrades lol
any answers greatly appreciated
Thanks
Mike

So for the tires check here

https://www.thurenfabrication.com/tech/tire-and-wheel-fitment.html

As far as the hood goes, if it directs the air over to the air box I would go with the K&N CAi, but I would use a Afe dry filter” easy enough to get one the same size as the K&N and I would run a piece of panty hose over it with a pre filter bag over it” Afe sells them
As well”.
As for head lights - lots of people swear by JJ at the retro shop, he is a vendor on this site and their stuff looks awesome. With a 0 offset you should be able to get away with a metric 35/11 or maybe even a 35/12. Don’t quote me but I know once the trucks are lvled they can take a 37, there was a member on here that put 1.5 wheel spacers behind his factory 20”s and ran 37 cooper sst pros with 0 rubbing.
Keep us posted, definitly check thuren”s site as he’s got a ton of knowledge on there.

Please save your money and a headache and DO NOT buy the Spyder halo headlights. They are pure garbage and you will not be able to see when you drive and the projectors in those lights are NOT hid projectors so putting an HID bulb in them will only make it worse.

Just buy a set of black quads if you want black headlights or even buy the 13+ OEM projector replicas. TYC makes a spot on replica set for $450 and DTMoto makes a set that looks very close to the OEM Projectors for $300. But whatever you do please do not put a set of Spyder projector lights or any other eBay set of lights. They are the worst thing you can do.

• 2012 Ram 1500 RCSB Hemi • 22" SRT-10 Wheels • Smoked Taillights • Custom 13+ Projectors w/ Switchbacks & Custom Paint • Custom Hood & Bed Black Vinyl • Morimoto 6500k XB35 HID's • Opt-7 FluxBeam-X 6000k LED Fogs • K&N 63 Series CAI • Mufflex DODM80 Muffler Delete • Line-X Bed • OEM Black Badges All Around • 20% Tint All Around • RES -> RBZ Swap • Opt-7 LED Tailgate Light Bar •

Thank you OnSale
I was hoping to get a honest answer
I think sometimes the reviews on the websites they are sold in are a bit skewed
I want something that looks good
But I definitely wnt it to function as well

Any experience with amerihood??

Mike
