I searched and read through many threads and did not see one like this.

I have water spots on my hood decal. I am sure it is because I usually only drive the truck once a week or so.

Has anyone else delt with this? I tried trim restorer, but no luck.

Probably the same product that takes it off of paint or glass would take it of the sticker too

Try a little white vinegar first. It is acidic but not too much and should disolve the hard water and not the sticker. Do it in the shade and not in direct sunlight or on a hot hood.

When you remove the spots, you might think about covering the decal with PPF.

I tried the vinegar 50/50 solution with distilled water yesterday on water spots and it did nothing but make my truck smell like my grandmothers bathroom tub.
Maybe I didn't let it soak in enough though?

Have you tried it on the decal? Reading the product details it say metal, paint and glass.
I’ve never used it on vinyl, but it should be safe. I know it’s safe on plastics.
If you try it out, I’d clean and dry the surface first, maybe spray a tiny bit on a microfiber towel and try it on a small test spot.

You might call a business that does PPF and wraps and see if they have a suggestion. Also, look for a professional detailer in your area and call and ask them for advice.
