I just installed blisteins at 2.1 on my 2012 outdoorsman. I plan on getting the XD misfits 18x9 in either +18 or 0 offset. I'm torn between what size tires to get. Should I run 35x12.5 or 295 70 r18 I know it's not much difference but can't decide. Or should I go with 33s? What combo do you think would be best. I may put in 1.5 body lift down the road. I would like to stay away from the tires sticking out too much maybe an inch at the most. Any suggestions and pictures would be greatly appreciated.

For either 295's or 35x12.5's you'll want to go with the 0 offset wheels. The +18 will barely clear the 295's and definitely won't clear the 35x12.5's.

If you plan on adding a body lift down the road I'd definitely go with the 35x12.5's. They'll fill up the wheel well better and just look more proportional on the truck. They'd be sticking out past your fender by about 1.5" on the 0 offset wheels. 0.5" past OEM flares if you have them.

^ there are members here with 12.50" width tires on factory wheels and no spacers, it is likely you'll need spacers but not unheard of.

If your buying wheels go for the 0 offset.

All depends on the tire. Some tires that claim to be 12.5 wide are only 12.0 wide or narrower when actually mounted. Then some such as the Toyo MT's or Nitto Trail Grapplers are actually 13.4" wide.

The general rule is that anything over 285 wide runs the risk of needing spacers. All trucks are built slightly different as well. So where some guys might get away with a certain size/offset combination other guys will not.

your statement is more true for 13 and 14 trucks. 12.5 wide tire will rub on a 12 with +18 offset.

Op if you want to run 12.5 wide tires get the zero offset wheels

Thanks. I do have the oem flares. Looks like I will be going with the zero offset. Thanks

This is what -12 will look like. If I could do it over I'd go for a wider stance. I have the factory flares as well

Ordered theses 18x9 0 offset. Will more than likely be going with cooper discoverer st maxx 295 70 r18. Ordered a 1.5 zone body lift as well. Done some research and with those tires it will be pretty stuffed. So the 1.5 bl should bring it up enough to look proportionate. Thanks for everyone's help. Will post pics in the next few weeks once it gets installed
