The 275/55/20 tires on my 2019 are on stock 9 in rims. I am thinking of going back to the 275/60/20 that was on I’m older ram with 8 in rims. Wondering how they would look on the 9 in rm??

4th gen Laramie trim on up had the option to run that combo right from factory. Its actually a pretty insignificant difference, unless you put them right next to each other. It will mount up and look fine

I'm thinking that you really don't mean "9 inch" rims. Maybe 19 inch?

Moving to an 8" rim will likely be OK but for the true definitive answer, that will be completely tire dependent.

Look up the tire's specification on the manufacturer's website and they will specify the designed rim width for that specific tire.
