Tonneau, bed rug, tailgate seal ??

OK, I got an Undercover Flex tonneau coming, and will be installing a bed rug as well.

Do I still need a tailgate seal ?? and if so, which ones have yall used with success ??

if I remember right, the bed rug should seal the bottom of the tailgate, but what about the sides ??

I am mainly interested in keeping rain/dust out as much as possible, as there are some dusty roads I travel every now and then that would coat the inside of my 08 silverado, even with the tonneau cover on. I'm trying to avoid that on the Laramie, as I use the bed to store stuff that I don't want getting dirty.

it would not hurt to try to seal it. I remember seeing where somebody else sealed their, but i don't remember what they used.

I have both an ARE cover and Bedrug installed on my truck. I really don't think you would necessary need it. the rug does a great job of keeping the elements out..

Yeah I looked at JJ's and the bedrug covers up that hinge area, so the seal really isn't needed.

Well, my tonneau cover came in today, and it is on. Will get some pics once the sun has softened the seals so they sit flat.

It is the undercover flex, and looks to be exactly the same thing as an F1, but much less money and a longer warranty.

Need to work some OT before I can get the bedrug (and the boss says this weekend we will be working...so.........may have that here real soon).
