Hey everyone,

I have a bestop tri fold on my truck now and it's been a good 3 years with it but it's time for a new one. Does anyone have suggestions on a new higher end tri fold, any opinions and personal experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Bak flip line is higher end...I don't care for tri/modular panels, but they are probably the biggest player in the game...

Not a tri-fold but I really like my original Bak Roll-X (now Revolver-X). There is a thread or two around here with installed pictures.
Morrie at Tonneau Factory Outlet (or Bak factory outlet) can usually get you a good forum discount too (vendor here).

I am not a fan of the tri folds at all. I had a low profile (I forget the model name) Xtang tonno cover on my Silverado with a velcro type system to secure the top to the rails. I installed the cover in 2006. In 2011 after several years of wear, the cover was actually ripped off the truck by very high winds on highway 62 while driving in the desert from 29 Palms back to Oceanside, CA. I called Xtang, explained the situation and they replaced everything I needed for free.

I will get a cover at some point but I will probably get the tuff tonno model with the clasp type securing system. I had this model on my GMC Sonoma and it was very sturdy.

I also have the BakFlip MX4 and love it. It's flat black, low profile, locks with the tailgate, and able to open and close the tailgate without lifting the last section. Simply convenient and beautiful addition to add to the truck.

I have the bakflip Fibermax and so far I am very pleased with it. I went with the Fibermax over the mx4 because it was dent resistant

I am trying to decide between another truxedo lo pro. Or a bakflip. Only thing I don't like is how it blocks the whole back window. I have never had trouble with truxedo at all, but I like the bakflip not being vinyl to clean and maintain.

The way I looked at it was that if I had enough stuff in the back where I had to open the cover all the way, a good portion of the time it would block my view from the back window anyway. Plus acts as protection of the window from anything in the back hitting it.
