I'm looking at swapping out my stock chrome 20" wheels for a set of black wheels. I plan on using the stock tires for now. Thing is, the wheels I am looking at say they are -44 offset and 12" wide. Is that too large a wheel to work on this truck? I have stock suspension (for now). If I'm right, negative offset means those wheels would stick out a bit which is ok but I'm wondering if you can put the stock tires on a wheel that wide?

That’s about 3” in offset alone. So it will stick out quite far. May look a little funny. Not sure how far you want them to poke out.

You’re now clearing -44 without lifting the front up

Yeah I think 3" would be a bit much. I just searched the offset of the stock 20's and it says it's 19. On my 19 I had a set on that were I believe 18 offset. I definitely want a little stick out but not that much. Guess I should stick around -20 or so?

I have a +12 and I easily have 2 inches of tire sticking out on a 13 wide tire. You’re going straight brodozer. You’re gonna have about 4 inches of tire sticking out.

I actually just looked at pics of the old truck and that's actually right what you said. But that was on an 18 inch rim with an +18 offset and 35 tires. I not sure if using the stock tires on a 20" will will stick out as much? Maybe something from +12 - 0 range would be good? I only want an inch or so sticking out.

You’re not gonna put a stock 275 wide tire on a 12” wide wheel .....

I have 12 inch wide -44 wheels, you wont clear on stock, or even leveled if you go bigger than 33 inch tire without trimming.

Check out custom offsets. They have tons of pictures of trucks on there and you can see what it’s going to look like.
