Torque Converter codes

Good morning, this is my first post. I own a 2014, 6.7 cummins, 2500 MegaCab. Bought it in 2015 it's got 160k miles on it. Been throwing torque converter codes for a year, everybody acts like it's no big deal?? I've had people tell me that I need a new transmission(runs great and I pull heavy loads without even a studder), I've had people tell me that the codes are affecting only cruising fuel mileage, I've had people tell me that the fluid pump in the transmission is bad. Hoping to find some useful information. I'm not a gear head, but can tinker when I need to. Thanks in advance!

What is the codes your getting?
Do you have a Check Engine light?

I'm not sure of the codes, just told that I had them. Yes, the check engine light is on. Somehow they turn it off, but it comes back on within 15 mins of leaving the shop. I have it serviced at the dealership.

A $20 code reader from amazon goes a long way in these situaions. Having codes is one thing, knowing what they are is far more useful.

You can also go to an autozone or something similar and they will read them for you for free.

That's on my to-do list. Love this truck, guess she's getting to the age where "doctor's" visits are going to be a thing!!

See if your local parts store can read the codes for you, many do it for free, if not get Alfa OBD & a good OBD reader..
