Been readin this and was thinkin that it would be cool if you guys could pull this off to help Frog with his TC, and with him supervisin either from a lawn chair or strapped onto a creeper you all could be done in 6-7 hours, with 2-3 guys helpin. Best of luck and speedy recouvery George.

hey frog, drive down to SoCal. the weather is nice. and i could put it in for you. itd take me all of 2 hours. then you can enjoy the rest of your time down here on the beach.

when i did my verter and shift kit for the first time, it took about 5 to 5.5 hours. since then, ive done it a few more times. im pretty good at it now.

it also helps that ive got access to a lift, and air tools.

I had a shop do this not long ago and stood at the mechanic's shoulder while he did the deed. It took him 50 minutes from the time he dropped the u joint to having the trans sitting on the bench. I'm a old guy so not much good at lifting a trans into place. But I certainly can show folks what needs to be done. A lift and trans jack would make it a breeze, but young blood and determination will certainly work. Nail down the date and I'll do my best to make it. Or bring it down and I'll turn you on to the shop that did mine. It is a defunct Dodge dealer and they will knock it out for you in 4 hours and about $600. This includes front seal, filters and fluids.

A lift and a cold truck makes the install very quick, learned that the hard way (way to hot to handle anything when its warmed up... Even with gloves)
