Torxe Front Bumper

Installed the Torxe front bumper on my 13' Express. So far after 2 months, I haven't seen any cons. Easy to install and looks great imo. Great price to compared to other bumpers on the market. Haven't installed any lights yet, but it comes with a lot of mounting options. The hoop and skid plate were extra, but not expensive. I think $1,200 for everything from Carid and maybe 2 hours to remove the old bumper and install the new bumper.

Looks nice. I opted for the RC bumper with lighting but I don't like how the two posts where the tow hooks go just stand out. Did you end up trimming the wheel well plastic?

The site states you can retain the factory tow hooks but I don't see how that's possible. The instruction manual was vague and didn't even mention tow hooks. The wheel well trim I folded up towards the fog light and held with a zip tie but that's my temporary solution.

If I can't use my tow hooks I'd like to add a skid plate or a cover of sorts that utilizes the posts the tow hooks were supposed to use.

And honestly? If I had to do it again, I'd probably invest in the Blackhorse HD bumper for $700.

I did trim the inner fenders. It was pretty easy; just used some tin snips.

I will on Tuesday. Had to have some bodywork done because I hit my door off a wooden pole.

I thought I was going to see those same posts, but the skid plate covers bolts to those, so it was convenient.

I was just looking at this bumper. Might cancel my order with American Trucks since it’s been 2 months on backorder and get this instead. Is it still holding up well?

Just found this bumper and decided to do some research. Been trying to find one that covers the tow hook posts. Kinda like the look too. How’s the weight? Looking for something light. Was looking at iron bull but don’t want 180lbs hanging off the front.
Edit: just realized he hasn’t been active since august...

It's not too heavy actually. I lifted it in place myself.

Looks good. I almost went with something like this after tearing my painted bumper plastic. But they all stuck out too far from the truck and look too bulky on a 1500 IMO, so I just went with another stock painted. This one fits tighter looks good.

It lines up perfectly and is holding up really well. I live near the ocean too and don't have any issue so far. There's also a lot of mounting locations for extra lights if you want to add them.
