I have a 2000 1500 Sport regular cab 4x4. Last week going into work met up with a deer, hit thr front bumper on drivers side, pushed that in 1 or 2 inches and appears too have broken the mounting tabs for that headlight. All lights still work.
Questions:
My headlights are tinted with 1 bulb per side, wiring garness has a 2nd socket on each side. Do stock headlight fir the,Sport have 2 bulbs? From what I've seen of replacements online the answer is "yes". Just want confirmation.
2) Will the front bumper from a nonSport bolt up to my truck. I understand I may need different mounting brackets.
Thanks for any input. Sorry for the long post

I’ve never paid much attention to the sport bumpers, but in photos they appear to be quite different. The standard non sport bumpers are made up of six pieces. You have the steel bumper itself, a black plastic top cap, the gray plastic surround, the spoiler, and two inserts where the fog lights would be mounted if installed. If the mounting brackets are the same then it will fit, but won’t it look out of place on your truck?

Thanks for the reply.
I'm not too concerned about looks at this point. I think there was previous damage to the bumper before I bought it. Also, I replaced the white fog light bulbs with yellow ones from Amazon, just prefer yellow, only to have the yellow color burn off after about 30 minutes use. I can get aftermarket fog light housings with yellow lenses for a non Sport bumper but not a Sport.

Since appearances don’t matter, I’ll have a look at my parts manual and see if the bumper mounting brackets have the same part number for sport and standard bumpers. Just as a heads up, the aftermarket steel bumpers don’t seem to fit as well as the factory ones do, so buy factory parts if you can.
