Tow mirror adjuster repair?

Hey all, as the title says, I'm wondering how to repair the power adjust mechanism in my factory tow mirror. 2018 bighorn, power adjust, defrost, manual fold. The mirror has taken a couple hits, didn't break glass, but adjusting up or down is very weak, in and out just fine. I've searched and found endless threads on replacing, a video that states full teardown, but doesn't show the steps, but nothing that pertains. I also have seen that the power fold gears on the standard mirrors are replaceable, and I'm hoping that the adjuster mechanism has a similar fix. Any ideas?

Hello, I am looking online for the exact same thing. Same RAM mirror with the exact problem. Mine started after they upgraded the software for the truck to auto adjust the mirrors to tilt down to see the wheels when you put it in reverse. Now it just slugs along at a snails pace to adjust up and down but left and right work fine. Seems like there is a gear in there that is slipping. If you ever found a solution on how to disassemble this it would be great. I see there is a bit of a part teardown online in the parts catalogs but they only seem to sell the whole uint for about $500 Canadian here. ouch!
