The door placard calls for 75psi in the front and 80psi in the rear.
The new tires, 35/12.50/20 Nitto Terra Grapplers, have a max psi of 65psi.
Can the sensors or computer be reprogrammed to accommodate the new tires?

(The original tires, 245/70/17, carry a max 3000lbs at 80psi. The new tires carry a max 3150lbs at 65psi.)

yes you can use a AEV procal snap to lower the threshold. there are others as well but the snap works well.

Thank you. So is it something the dealership can do or would I be better off finding the tool and doing it myself?

I doubt the dealer would do it but I guess you could ask. Nice to have the programmer so you can use it whenever you want as you will also want to correct your speedometer.
