Went to get new duratracs on the truck today and used fuel hostages and the guy at the tire shop said i couldn't use the oem TPMS sensors out of my OEM wheels because the valve stem goes in differently in the fuels... Anyone ever heard of this or was the guy just to lazy to take em out of the old wheels and put in new... Pic of the new wheels and tires on

I know the valve stems are rubber. So maybe he didn't want to pop them out. Can you post a picture of the Fuel stem location?

Unless the valve stem location makes it to where there's little room on the inside of the rim. They should work.

I don't know if they are any different but I have Fuel Trophy wheels with the OE sensors I took out of my old ones. The guy is probably an idiot or trying to rip you off. They made you buy new sensors?

I just swapped my stock 20s for aftermarket ones on my 2013 and reused the stock TPMS sensors with no issues. Tire shop just had to pop them out.

No I didn't buy new ones and he said he didn't know of any that would work... The location is right at the spokes in a horizontal way almost

I'll tell you what happend I just replaced my wheels and tires (nitto trail 35x12.5x18 fuel assaults) when I went to replace them I could not get them out without breaking th rubber on the stem so I tried to install the Chrysler correct size valve stems they would not fit in the Fuel wheel so I had to use the ford sized stems. I.E. I bet he was scared to death to scratch your 900 wheels and broke one of the original stems and might not have been able to find out the ford ones

I am having the same issue currently. I am running fuel couplers. The interior valve stem was originally slapping my rods under the truck making a ticking noise. Replaced the valve stems and used the OEM tpms. Didn't work. The dealership currently has valve stems on order that allow the tpms sensor to get closer to the lip of the rim so the sensor will read correctly. This is not an issue of the guy being lazy, it's a real world problem.

Ive bought 2 sets of fuel rims, from two different vendors, in the past 6 months. I ordered new tpms with both, and no issues.

Just get ahold of a vendor that sells these rims and order new tpms through them.

Kinda hard to understand exactly what you're asking though.. Seems like you wanted to know if the stock ones would work.. And later which aftermarket ones would work..? Hope I'm helping somehow.

The thing is the way some of the fuel wheels are bored out for valvestems the shorter ones will not seal correctly or when you try to pull them through will be too tight and break trust me I broke three Chrysler ones trying to pull them through
