I dont know if the frame is identical(I dont think they are) but the 2500 has a beefier suspension to handle the higher weight and the engine is obviously more powerful 800 foot pounds vs the hemi is about 400

Very nice! Congrats! 2500 is so much more truck in so many ways. I still love mine as much as I did day one....going on 3 years this December.

Great choice! You'll love it!

Congrats on the new truck! It is identical to the 2017 I bought a month ago. I've only put about 1000 miles on it so far but it drives like a dream compared to my lifted '97 1500 4x4 with the 5.9 gasser. Seems to have power out the ying-yang to spare.
I still have the 1500 with 297,000+ miles on it and it still runs pretty darn good with the original engine and trans.

2500 to 1500. Only thing they share are interiors and the cab. Well and the 6.4 bed, actual headlights. But you get the idea there’s different. We have a 2500 and a 1500. We call the 1500 our car

It is bigger and definitely feels like a larger truck when you drive it. I'm starting to get used to the size now after 115 miles. I do miss the parking sensors I had on the 1500.

appreciate the feedback. thats what i thought. i love the big trucks and i would love having the space of a mega cab. but man parking that beast would be a chore. the 4" extra in the new 19s is a good compromise. right now i just have 2 car seats in my crew cab which is a huuuggeee improvement over the quad cab
