Hey Ram Owners!

If you're here, chances are you're just as passionate about upgrading your truck’s safety and tech as we are at Infotainment.com. Today we’re excited to introduce a sleek factory-fit OEM upgrade that blends style, safety, and simplicity: the Digital Rear View Mirror Upgrade for 2021–2024 Ram 1500 DT and Heavy-Duty trucks. Whether you’re hauling gear, towing a trailer, or just cruising your favorite highway, this upgrade provides a crystal-clear digital feed from your third brake light, improving visibility far beyond your standard mirror.

Why This Upgrade Rocks
  • Full-screen digital video feed straight from the third brake light
  • Boosts rear visibility—perfect for towing or reversing in tight spaces
  • Includes a brightness & vertical position adjustment directly on the mirror
  • Instantly switch between digital view and traditional mirror with a tap
  • OEM look and feel—just like Ram intended

What’s in the Box?
We’ve designed this kit to make your install as seamless as possible—perfect for DIYers:
  • Brand-new OEM Digital Rear View Mirror
  • Factory-style Third Brake Light with Integrated Camera
  • Custom-fit Video Cable (pre-terminated for a simple install)
  • Step-by-step installation video guide with helpful tips for routing, mounting, and testing

Installation Made Simple
All you need are some basic tools like zip ties, a panel tool, tape, and a Phillips screwdriver. Even if your truck doesn’t have a sunroof, routing the cable is easy thanks to our tips in the video. Already have an auto-dim mirror? You're good to go! (If not, check our product page for optional header wiring and mirror covers.)

Factory Look Meets Real-World Function
The included third brake light not only adds aggressive styling with LED lighting, but it also improves your truck's rearward awareness—day or night. Whether you're in reverse or just want a better view of what’s behind, this system gives you the visibility (and confidence) your truck deserves.

Looks like it won't work with a Softopper installed.

Can you explain why?
The camera it uses is in the cab mounted third brake light.
There needs to be an option for it to be selectable between the third brake light and tailgate camera locations. This would be helpful for people with toppers and if you hauling tall stuff in the bed.

Are you suggesting the failure to function with a topper is because you won't be able to see the cargo?

How would that impact the tighter rearward view versus the wider tailgate camera?

Post #2 suggests it won't work with a soft topper.

Am I missing something or suffering another senior's moment?

Too bad it isn't available for a 4th gen.
Has anyone checked for a price?

Senior moment... LOL
The camera will work but all you'll see it the topper, so yeah won't work to see what's behind the truck if it has topper.
I'm almost positive the GM trucks use the tailgate cam for the digital rearview mirror.

LMAO.

Now I understand.
I think of those as a truck cap.

A topper to me is like a tonneau, fiberglass, or a Roll'N'Lock cover.

It must be past my bedtime, the brain has shutdown already.

Next!

My wife bought a new 2025 Chevrolet Equinox RS AWD with the (factory) rear view video camera.

Although it works as intended, it is very distracting and affects our peripheral vision. It only took several drives with the feature turned on, before we switched it to the standard review view mirror.

Before anyone installs this feature in your truck, I would encourage you to drive a vehicle with the feature to see if you really like it (and don’t find it annoying).
