My 2018 2500 Ram Laramie, 4WD with Cummins engine has 134,000 miles. The transmission filter and fluid were changed (using Mopar ATF) at 107,000. The truck is my everyday vehicle (20,000 per year) but is also used to pull our 16,000 lb fifth wheel camper. During our last outing pulling the camper, I seemed to notice it not shifting as early as it should or as it did previously. Even empty, It seems to be reaching higher RPM’s before shifting, especially on an incline. It is shifting at around 1,600 to 1,800 rpm’s. I don’t think it is my imagination because the engine noise is very noticeable. How would I have the transmission checked out?
