I am going to the dealer to get my pcm flashed to turn my fogs on. I do not have a warranty as i bought the truck used. My question is i have the 91 tune installed do i still need to return to stock even though there is no warranty?
Thanks in advance.

If you don't go back to stock it could lock your tuner. It's $100 to unlock them. Return it to stock

Got a quick question about getting my computer flashed to activate my fogs. I called a dealership and they told me that there's a chance that when they flash it it might not work. I installed all oem parts ie: switch, harness, bulbs, etc. I have an 07 Dodge Ram ST 4.7. Anyone that knows anything for sure please let me know as i don't want to pay labor for nothing. Thanks.

Going to the dealer in a couple hours. they are gonna charge me $115 to flash it so i hope they will go ahead and turn my fogs on for hi/low beam as well while they're in there and maybe switch to Canada region or fleet to turn on my DRL. I just hope they dont try to charge me for each one considering they're already hooked up to the OBD II. But you know how the dealerships are. As for the tuner i went ahead and returned to stock to save myself the heartache. Thanks for the info and input guys and gals.

Lastly i dont visit the dealership unless its to buy parts as i do my own labor. But will they allow me to go in the shop with the tech so i can make sure i get what i want and to make sure they are doing it right.

Lucky you. I don't go to dealerships unless it's absolutely something I need and can't get anywhere else at that point (parts wise) or if it is something I absolutely cannot do myslef (which doesn't apply anymore after getting DRBIII). About the only thing I can't do myself is mount/balance tires and get an alignment.

While im sitting here and they needed me to give them the part numbers bc im assuming they didn't want to look it up. And they said its illegal for them to activate them on hi/low so idk i hate crap like this. Ive been here for an hour and they still haven't got the sales codes loaded on the starscan. I have a feeling im gonna be paying some pricie labor for the tech to sit on a damn stool while he waits for the sales code.

For all that helped and gave me input thanks. I got the fogs activated but only on low beam he said he wasnt going to do it bc if i got a ticket it would come back on him. But they activated the DRL's for free. So i only ended up paying 85 total which is still high but oh well.

Well i wish that was the case for me but since i have the TIPM on my 07 i would need a starscan tool but still wouldn't be able to activate anything bc you need sales codes to input the component.

I'd be willing to bet there's a way around that...

I had a 2007 1500 and its the same as my 2006 3500 with the TIPM... Fogs can be turned on using either the dealer PC, or a programmer. I have a BullyDog for my diesel and I turned on the fogs during low/high beams... not sure how many other programmers offer that option, but if I were to bet, I'd say damned near all of them should.

Iv'e heard of diesel guys that have the bully dog having success activating/deactivating certain options, but my SC doesn't have anything to allow me to get in this system. I am going to continue to do my homework and research so if i ever need to activate/deactivate anything i can if at all possible.

Weird... I never would have thought it was a BullyDog specific capability. IIRC you can change things like seatbelt chimes, DRLs, Fogs w/ highs, and a couple other things I cannot recall what they are.

Honestly idk but ive researched for months and thats the answer ive got from several people that i have to have the dealer activate with starscan. I was gonna just tap them into my headlight wiring harness or install a relay and switch but wanted an oem look. Not to mention i was told if i tap into the headights after so many times of turning the headlights on around 250 times or so it would shut down the circuit in my TIPM. Therefore having to get a new TIPM installed which isnt cheap. I was able to turn the seatbelt chime off by following the directions in my owners manual but besides that i couldnt find anything else regarding this.
