TYC replacement led tail issue

So my wifes cousin busted my drivers side tail light, i have a 13 sport with the factory led tails, i opted to get a TYC replacement to save s couple bucks, now i get a rear left signal out message and hyperflash on the dash but signals themselves work properly, any ideas?

I'm not an expert, but it definitely sounds like there is not enough resistance which surprises me since TYC knows this. Have you tried contacting them? You could always add another resistor, but you shouldn't have to...that's my point I guess.

Messaged tyc with no response, contacted rockauto since thats where i got it as jj was out at the time, they offered to exchange it so ill see what that does, if it does the same ill have to fork out for an oem one
