Alright so I am new to this forum but believe this is the best place to find the best info in which I'm looking for. So, I am in the process of deciding what would be the best all around Ram to choose for buying. I have a couple of questions. First though I'll let y'all know what all I am going to use the truck for and what plans are laid out. I know it will be my daily driver and that I will be towing for weekend trips with a boat, and the occasional off-roading. I'm looking for something that is able to modified for an increase in power since it's rare I'm ever satisfied with stock, but maybe one of the engine options will do well enough for me.. I know over time it will most likely be lifted but not sure which models are easiest to lift with its under carriage? But I know most likely a Mega Cab or Crew Cab. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I know that y'all know y'alls stuff! Always been a fan of Dodge and they know how to make these things look good! oh and also debating whether it should be a 1500 or 2500... both look great!

Welcome to the site bud. Is there a price range your looking for? I would say a 2500 CTD would be the best thing to get if money isnt a problem. You do a good amount of towing and you wanna put down alot of power. If you wanna stick with a 1500 frame then a quad cab Hemi will be the best choice. Far as years just depends what style front end you like and amount of money you have to work with.

As far as lift goes a SFA will be cheaper to lift than a IFS ... 2500 vs 1500 .

No doubt 2500 is the way to go . And the Mega Cab is not bad ..lol Love mine plenty of power and tows a **** ton .

Welcome to RF

Welcome! And let me say...Ram + Megacab + 3500 + Cummins + towing a lot = FTW!!!!

Seriously though, I love my truck. I have a 35' fifth wheel RV and the truck tows it easily. Good luck in your search.

Yeah my dad has an 06 Ram 2500 Mega Cab and it is awesome! Imo go with the 5.9 Cummins, it gets better mileage and has more power. Alot of things you can do performance wise to get better mileage and more power. Diesels will get alot better mileage then gas engines. Welcome to the forum!

I will definitely be sticking around! I've been searching all over this site! Very helpful with everything y'all have given me so far! And from the looks of it y'all know how to make a these trucks look badder than they already did!
