U Connect 'OPT OUT' email from 03/18/2026

An email I received from Stellantis, I don't remember how many years ago
I went through their procedure to "opt out" and I almost deleted it as spam
because showed as "Dprivacy - BFDPRIV"
I'm glad now that I checked rather than delete it. The sender showed up as:
dprivacy @ stellantis . com (but without the spaces I added).

Here is the full content of the email. Has anyone else received it?


We are writing to confirm that we processed your privacy request. Where able based on the information you provided, we opted you out of Uconnect-related third-party data sharing.

Please note that this opt-out applies to personal information collected and maintained by FCA US LLC, often known by our brands Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, and Fiat. This does not include personal information that may be collected or maintained independently by dealerships or other third parties.

I went to the privacy portal, entered the info for me and my truck, and completed their useless captcha. BUT, the site wouldn’t activate the “Submit” button. Tried using 2 different browsers on iPad, and Edge browser in Windows 11. Smells a bit more like a data-collection site than an opt-out site…

I applied for this offer ages ago too and received a generic response that read like a BS form letter.

I will find the original email on my PC later and post it for fun.
