Anyone know what this tube us?

That's the vent tube for your front differential. It's OK as is - even though it looks odd!

Pretty funny - I’ve got an unknown leak (that’s not the funny part) so I was looking around the front end yesterday and came across this exact part/question. Took a little bit, but deduced that (explained above) was what it was.

Thats a vent not a plug, dont mess with it!
