Good evening y’all, this is my first post here and it will be lengthy. I was just given my fathers old 2008 2500, SXT, quad cab, gas since he can no longer drive. I wanted to refresh the interior as the original interior was shot from being used as a ranch truck for its whole life.
The carpet, seats, headliner were all caked with grease, spilled drinks and god knows what else.
I hit the ol’ Facebook market place and found some parts. I got the complete interior out of a 2007 1500 SLT ( complete dash, door panels, headliner, carpet, leather front and rear seats and business class console).
Started by cleaning up the donor carpet and ripping out the original carpet. See pictures below of the 2 carpet sets.

After the carpet was installed I got to tackling the headliner. I pulled the old out and installed the donor until I figure out what my direction will be. Not sure if want to change the color or keep the tan. Donor headliner has the overhead console/ map lights and original doesn’t. I need to see if I can make the map lights and display screen work in mine also. CCF3198F-A841-4CE8-B494-878FF2EA7886.jpeg

Today I finally got to start the leather seat install. The donor driver seat is all power and passenger is no power, back is the 60/40 split. Original is no power and bench back seat.
I have to make a custom connection since the electrical plugs are different between the truck and seat. Not a huge deal, just time consuming.
I got the front seats, business class console and the 40 side of the back seat installed. I rigged up the electrical temporarily to adjust the seat to a good position until I make the harness.
The leather is in ok condition and will do ok for now. Don’t mind the dirty leather, cleaning and conditioning coming soon. 4B173433-DB3C-462F-AF3B-5C2173E385E9.jpeg57CB383F-C92F-4600-B9B8-8F663E00A0EC.jpegDBD36292-E7EA-4326-9FC8-62EC3FB492C4.jpeg58635FFA-F09E-4262-8216-FDDC5BE42F9F.jpegE3E4605D-23F3-4D45-BA9D-58326B6D38B6.jpeg

A set of 4th gen seats and jump seat would've gone in there nicely.

I agree they would’ve but I really wanted the full console and I got the entire interior for $600 which I feel was a steal.

I got the headliner redone and slowly making some progress in cleaning all the panels. All the interior panels were coated in so much grime from years of use on the ranch. BBAA484B-B255-403A-BE6E-E1E4588E61C8.jpeg12A06B07-F10A-46EC-85C9-40892044D8AA.jpeg
