Hi, everyone I have searched alot and don't see anything on this.

Wanting to do compression check on my cummins , how do I shut off fuel from vp44 pump? If unhook electrical connection does it still pump fuel? Also my fass fuel system runs constantly when key on engine off so not sure how to temporarily shut it off. Are these trucks like a car where full throttle while cranking clears flooding?

Thank you for your help!

Oh this is a 2001 ram 2500 with cummins diesel engine

I answered my own question I think. I know when electrical connector is disconnected it doesn't run and requires black wire and red wire to start and idle. So it seems it doesn't let fuel through.

I'm having a hard time checking compression. Bought a kit, diesel compression tester it has fittings for glow plug holes, Injector hole and talked like could screw in top of injector. The 5.9 cummins doesn't have glow plugs. Nothing will screw into top of injector except a bolt. So Removed injector, none of those adapters worked either. Danget how you supposed to do this?
