Tell me about it. They salt even when its not needed here. The stupid town trucks were plowing roads here today and pushing it all in my driveway. So, I threw it all back in the street with my snowblower. They go by like twenty times a day. Its bad enough my taxes pay for the ****, but....I mean do you really have to get every bit. One of the guys was going by in a truck and saw me and slowed down but didnt say anything. I was waiting for him to. He just stared at me. Whatever dude. :flipthebird:

Another thing is trains. I bought a house by tracks and never even thought about the noise. Wont make that mistake again. Im not that close, but close enough to where i can here it when im sleeping sometimes and it wakes me. They will continuously blow the horn for probably a good 20 seconds sometimes! Thats when I get those evil thoughts and think about derailments, fires, and numerous deaths!

I'm fighting the street salt wars. Washed off more salt over the weekend.

Well I did something I was not planning on doing. Made a call to my insurance company because a young woman hit my truck from behind. :bawl:

Let me say this that KIA was no match for a Ram. :waytogo:

Also, will need a new bumper, brackets, and most likely from the muffler back new pipes. :word:

Damn that sucks dude...i had a chick in a camry rear end my half ton. I was at a dead stop and she was doin about 30. Totaled her car and put a ding in my bumper. Had a 4.7 so dual pipes werent an issue but i couldnt believe how much damage was done to her car let alone how little was done to my truck.

Thanks. That's why I said these Rams are built tougher than you think. :waytogo:

Installed the 18" Mufflex this afternoon, took about 2.5 hrs. Getting the old muffler off was a pain in the ass, used a lot of WD-40 and PB Blaster, but it was worth it. Has a great rumble at idle and sounds nice under acceleration, definitely loud enough for me, wondering what the 24" would sound like...

Can definitely tell when it kicks down to 4 cyl though, when cruising can't tell much, but if accelerating lightly while "ECO" is on it sounds like a boat gurgling. It also pushed my exhaust tips about 3/4" more out behind the bumper.

Looks good, not sure how I feel about the tips. But you could always have a shop shorten the pipe and re weld them on. The stock one is so ugly. I want to replace mine but have a baby in the way so it has to be quiet

Thanks, yeah, I'm going to have to figure something out with the tips, I'm not liking them pushed out, especially because I had them tucked nice and tight in the bumper cut outs before the muffler change...

I installed an interior LED light kit: Amazon.com: iJDMTOY Premium SMD LED Lights Interior Package Combo for 2009-2013 Dodge RAM 1500, Xenon White: Automotive

The map lights work pretty good. Decent brightness level. I was disappointed in the dome light in the rear. I didn't think it was bright enough, so I took it out and installed a 12 LED bulb that I had left over from my Land Rover dome lights. Now, I need to switch out the footwell lights to LED. Thinking about putting some orange/amber LED's down there.

Oil Change and Temporarily Sealed a Leaking 3rd Brake Light. Going to re-do it once it clears up and I can buy some better weather seal.

No it doesn't! The rumble will put that baby to sleep! Knocks my son out every day.

Installed my painted engine cover:

Other than the letters, did you paint anything else? I've considered doing something like this with some high heat paint. I've also seen some sticker kits on ebay that go on the Ram logos/letters.

The entire engine cover has been painted. Here is a "before" shot:i-M8ndtqZ-L.jpg
The letters are the decal kit you saw on eBay. The silver, gloss black and flat black are Dupli-Color rattle can over filler primer. Here is the paint system I used. There is about $45 in paint.

I doubt that heat paint is necessary.
