Tow it up to 10000 ft in the Eastern Sierra's. No need for other gearing.
Dog too.

Two nice setups! And one nice dog!
I know the 3:93s make a difference but I want folks to know there are several TT options that are fine to pull with 3:55s.

You guys have some nice rigs! I have 3.55's in mine too. Only about 1200 miles, so I'm not hauling anything with it yet. I want to get a few thousand miles on her. I am installing a receiver hitch in the next couple days when I have time. The Ramcharger package I got deleted it for some reason. TT shopping in the spring!

Hooked up. Drove about 40 miles of PA backroads. Hilly and lots of turns. Truck did great. Trans temp topped about 140º. I think that's fine. It was only 40º out today so I expect it to climb higher in the summer. No sway problems at all. Felt a gust or two but everything stayed straight. Gas milage was lower than expected, but it was some big climbs. All in all I'm happy.

Awesome! That's what forums are for ! Lol

Also I'm only at 900 miles. But with a 150 mile trip next week I had to get my setup right. I wanted to wait till I had more miles.

Looks good all hooked up!! You may notice the rear end squatting worse as time goes on. I highly recommend Airlift1000 air bags. For under $100 they are a must have. :happy160:

Thanks. It's aluminum so its pretty light. About 2200lbs empty. I've never weighed it loaded, but I'm guessing around 5500 with both horses, tack and gear.

No offense, but I think you guys with 3.55's worry too much. You have a great platform, and workhorse of an engine in front of whatever you tow, just like everyone else with different gear ratios. If you keep within your limits (whatever those are for your application) you'll be fine :head3:

100% agree. I think if I listened to most people on forums I would only be able to tow a 200 pound empty utility trailer with my 3.21s. I tow 6000 pounds of race car and trailer all over the southeast. I would love to have lower gears but I think you guys with the 3.55s are right in the sweet spot for towing and fuel economy.

HA!

Very first week I had mine I pulled my 10,000lb plus boat and 2500lb trailer 400 miles.

My initial 1,000 mile break-in period was during towing. :emotions36:

I pull whatever I want. I just load it up and go. Range from 65-75mph depends on if I'm feeling fast or not lol. Just don't look at gas gaugeImageUploadedByTapatalk1389702820.703066.jpg
