whats it worth - 2nd gen ram

I'm just tired of it. think I can sell it for $6k?
2001 1500 4door
154k miles
CEL transmission code, but no signs of any trouble.
does have a slight leak from the bellhousing
and the A/C switch to defrost under acceleration crap.
will have a fresh steering box very soon

kbb private party in current condition is $6400
nada is $7k

maybe I will try to get a trade value. if I could get over $5k trade I wouldnt be unhappy.

I dont know about your area, but you could probebly sell it pretty qucik up here in MO for 6K. Hard to find a good running truck with a claen body up here =/

i think $6000 is reasonable to ask but i think $5500 is a good price to sell at
i only say this becase i have a 2000 and i only paid 3k for it
ive done alot of work to it since i bought it and still have some more to go but by the end of the summer i should be finished and ill only have $5000 into my truck that inclued the truck its self and i will have just about the same truck you have

from the looks of your truck you shouldnt have any problem selling it for that. maybe a little more if you are in no hurry.

Thanks for all the replies. I forgot to mention its all base. Manual windows, vinyl floor, etc.
I may put a bit of money into it for now. Dash cover, 35s, other mantaince items. At least until I either get a better job or my wife pays off her car. Bout a year. I want to get a crew tacoma

I believe $5-7K would be a fair asking price, as along as theirs no major repairs needed that is a decent deal to a guy that knows a wrench.
