Hey Guys

Sorry I am new to this and have some questions...

My truck will be getting a Pro Comp lift kit w/ 35" tires put on in the next few months.

My question or I guess something I need to know is the guy who I have been talking to is telling me the new wheels I buy need to have a back spacing between 4.5 - 5"... and has to stay within that range

Is this correct ? is buddy out to lunch ? what if I find wheels over that ?

Please elaborate in layman's terms... LOL

Thanks

Wheel backspacing and offset are directly related. Offset is the more common spec you'll see for wheels. The offset you can run depends on a combination of your whole setup. Life size, wheel width, tire size (both height and width). Without knowing more information on exactly what you're planning it's impossible to give you a solid answer.

What size lift are you installing?
What size wheels (diameter and width) are you wanting to run?
What size (diameter and width) and brand of tires are you planning to run?

What kit are you installing? alot of lift manufacturers list tire size and wheel parameters that will work with their kit on their websites... start there.

What is the set up your looking to do wheel, tire lift etc?

I'm putting in the same lift in the next 2 weeks i had to go to a 0 offset rim and I'm running 35x12.50 r20

also i recommend you get some bilstein 5100 for the front so your truck sits level the kit we are installing will leave us with a large rake

I've done way to much research on this kit any other questions i should be able to answer

Oh wow really, that's some good info I didn't know that it would leave that much if at all, you wouldn't think it would...

So you mean to go with the Bilstein 5100 Adjustable Shocks ???

Just want to make sure I have all my ducks in a row before I pull the trigger on this.

Cheers
