Well today I installed the rough country 3" lift spindles on my 02 ram 1500. It already had the 3" lift coils installed.

After install the toe in was pretty bed so I adjusted that so I could drive home, but the passenger front wheel is not centered in the wheel well, causing it to rub on the fender wheel in front when turning. It sits between 1 to 2 inches more towards the front bumper than the driver side.

Does anyone know what would cause this and how it can be fixed? I want to get it aligned soon but trying to figure this out first.

Help is appreciated, thanks

I will try tomorrow, basically the front of the passenger tire (the side closest to the front bumper) is closer to the fender well than the driver side, and it rubs.

Hmmmm . I would check your upper contol arms to make sure they are set right. If one side is slid outward then it could cause this.

Slid outward, like on the two bolts that connect to the frame or the ball joint side?

Do you think this is something that could be fixed by taking it in to be aligned?
Tried to take it to firestone yesterday but they wouldn't touch it because it was lifted.. So now I need to find a shop that will align it

We didn't touch the bolts holding the upper control arm, just the upper ball joint, and I'm pretty sure that it is secured on there good. Blah I have no idea what it could be. Maybe jsut need an alignment? Hopefully. Does anyone on here know a lot about front ends?

Ill try take pics. Might not be up til tomorrow. Could it be something with the tie rods? After install both tires were pointing inboard, toed in. So I adjusted them to be straight. I drove and it pulls a little to the right and to drive straight the steering wheel has to put at about the 2 o clock position.

I would try the alignment first. If that doesn't fix it, I know this sucks but..., you might have to take them off and compare the two spindles to see if one is bent or messed up some how....

Looks like your Caster is off really bad on that side, I'd try an alignment and if that doesn't help contact RC and see what they have to say.

I'm gonna find a good shop around here to take it to get aligned. Maybe 4 wheel parts? Ill try pepboys too. Should I show them how the caster is off and etc? Or ? I'm just worried they'll just try capitolize off it and charge me like 800 if you know what I mean.

just tell them your problem, and have them test your alignment first. most places will charger like $25 to test it.
ive never seen this problem before. kinda interested why is did that.
