I have a 2015 RAM 1500 2wheel drive with the Hemi 5.7 (Hemi fever tune) I don't use this truck for mudding at all. In fact I use it for my business hauling a 4,000 pound landscaping trailer 100 miles a day, everyday. But at the end of the day I unhook the trailer and use the truck for personal use. I'm the Boss, I can do that. lol Since I do drive the truck as my personal truck I want to lift it and put some sweet wheels and tires on it. I plan on going with the Full Throttle 8 inch Suspension lift and 37" AT tires.

I don't like Stock rims, they're too boring and basic for me. I like to customize and build all my Bikes, cars, Jeeps and Trucks. This truck is my first pick-up truck and I've had it for about 4 months now. I'm dying to replace the stock wheels (20x9). After 3 months of searching I finally found the wheels I have to have. They are FUEL FORGED FF19 Black with milled edges. They're awesome!! But I'm not sure what size to get. I know I want 22's that's for sure. But I'm not sure yet if I want 22x12 or 22x14. My heart says get the 14's and my mind says no, get the 12's. I've been fighting myself for about 10 days already. Now I want to hear some feedback from some other Ram guys that might have one or the other.

I really, really like the look of deep dish wheels and wide tires. But are 14's too wide for my truck. Is that overkill? Maybe 12's are the happy medium? They're deep but not too deep. What are the pro's and Con's of each?

Man, I love the deep dish look, but I've seen way to many hub failures on 1/2 tons because they run to big a spacer or to much negative offset on the wheels. You can kiss your MPG goodbye. Not trying to deter you from one or the other, but just an FYI because I would hate see someone have outer issues with a new truck (though, you would probably be good for a matter of years).

You won't clear 37's on either of those wheels with only 8" of lift. Not without cutting a ton of material out of your fender and bumper that is. Assuming you want to avoid that, you'll either need to run smaller tires or be looking at adding a body lift on top of the suspension lift.

My personal opinion, stick with the 12 wides. I love 14 wides but only when they're paired with the right tire and the right lift. In my opinion 14 wides need 15.5 wide tires to look the best and that requires a ton of lift. Not something you'd want to run on a 2wd 1500 either as they'll just be way too heavy for the front end components on it.

If you want a setup that you can clear no problem on that lift I'd recommend 22x12's and 35x12.5's. If you want to run 37's you'll be able to do it by either adding a body lift or trimming up the fender and bumper.

That makes a lot of sense and I was afraid that would be true. So far all signs are pointing towards the 22x12's. I was thinking about starting with 35/12.5/22 tires then when they wear out (That should give me some extra time) maybe bump up to the 37's. And modify whatever needs to be done.
