I've had bilstens 5100 at 2.1 and bilstens in rear...for 5 years and 70000km..

I notice a rear shock is leaking..and ride doesn't seem to be as smooth....

How long do they last for?..

Also whatever would be a better upgrade for shocks all around as I would probably just go with a 2.5 in level spacer and 1 inch in rear

I had a rear 4600 with slight fluid leak, they replaced in on limited lifetime warranty.

The OE Replacement 5100s carry a lifetime warranty so you may be able to get it replaced free if you were the original purchaser. Generally they do last a very long time but different climates and use and just luck seem to affect that.

The lifetime warranty doesn't apply to 5125 and 5150 and any other part numbers that aren't direct OE replacements so if your rear shocks are not 4600 or 5100 series they won't still be under warranty.

A lot of people speak highly of Fox for upgraded shocks, above 5100's

I wouldn't run spacers in the front because they can stiffen their ride and cause excessive wear and tear on the front suspension components. And given that 5100s are fairly cheap I’d just get another set unless you offroad a good bit. I installed eibach springs on my bils which helped my ride be softer since you aren’t preloading the spring to get lift

I'm at 50k miles on my 5100s, at stock height, front and back. The truck seems to 'float' more than it used to - so I am thinking they (at least the fronts) are worn to the point of replacement being needed.

Since the factory ones only lasted 18k miles; I suppose 50k miles isn't too bad!

I am going to guess in your case they last around 70,000km.
