where does the over the air updates go through.

does it come through the purple cell connector or through the sat radio.why i'm asking is if you don't wont to get over the air updates couldn't you just unplug the cell ant/connector.i think i read uaq's don't even need the bypass plug?

When I called UConnect support to ***** about the latest update screwing over the sound quality of my stereo they told me that over the air updates were pushed by Sirius XM Guardian. However, when I received the update my truck was more than halfway backed inside my garage (I was unloading the bed) and typically in that spot I don't get XM radio reception. I wish I could give you a more definitive answer.
