Hey everyone first time doing any wiring of my own, I'm hoping someone can help me figure this out.

I recently bought the Boost Auto Dual Function Harness V2. I spent a while looking for mirror puddle lights that had a white running light and came across a set from GoRECON. Their listing specifically mentioned a white running light, so I figured they were exactly what I was looking for. They were pretty expensive, and of course they went on sale right after I bought them, which was frustrating.

I got the Boost Auto harness installed, then installed the new mirror lights. The problem is that the running light is amber. So now I've spent a good chunk of money and still don't have the white running lights I was after.
I know I could probably make something work with some DIY wiring, but the whole reason I bought the Boost Auto harness was to have the switchback sequential function, not much cutting up and splicing while keeping everything as close to a factory-style setup as possible. I'd rather avoid a bunch of custom wiring if there's a cleaner way to do it but looking back at it i could've just made my life easier by taking apart mirror light, gut it and reuse the plastic shell, throwing in a led strip and ran it to a running light.

Does anyone know if it's possible to make the white courtesy lights stay on as the running lights? Maybe by adding another wire, or something else? My goal is to have white running lights with amber sequential turn signals while keeping the install as OEM-looking and reliable as possible.

If anyone has done this or knows what would need to be changed, I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks!

i have a 2013 ram 1500 express, power folding mirror conversion, 2017 small non tow "RT" style mirrors off a limited 1500, 2016 door modules from a wrecked rt single cab, amazon window switch, the wiring for the puddle lamps on my mirrors is a black wire with a white/greyish stripe, brown wire, green wire with a black stripe

wiring to the boost auto kit: i taped into brown wire for ground, and black with grey/white stripe for the input and outputIMG_0095.jpeg378438CE-4AB6-478A-8EA5-8534E2A09B4C.jpeg

I see you are in Ft Worth. Do you realize that Texas (and many other states) have laws against too many white lights (including “running lights”) showing to the front of a vehicle?

LED lights often have more than One lamp which (in concert) are brightly showing to the front…..and EACH individual LED lamp …counts toward the maximum allowed.

Also,… how high …they are mounted is regulated.

The citation is expensive…and counts on your insurance penalties. ;)

I appreciate the concern, but I want to add white running lights to my mirrors

plenty of trucks around here with white running lights on their mirrors or all over their trucks. I know it might seem like the law is super strict in Texas but police don't really care. I've asked an officer myself and they literally tell you as long as they're not like flashing strobe lights, or red or blue or trying to imitate emergency vehicles they do not care. you might randomly get that one a-hole cop that tries to get you for anything but it's all good over here

I'm mainly looking for wiring advice from anyone who has done something similar.
