Why did I let her take my truck camping????

So here's the background story. Fiance wanted to take my "off the lot" truck camping within a week of owning it. At the time it was a simple answer, "HELL NO!" So 2 months later, I finally budged. Needless to say, it was a big mistake. She returned it covered head to toe in tree sap, raccoon paw prints and tiny scratches. I know it probably needs a full detail, but I gotta get this sap off immediately. Any suggestions on getting tree sap off my brand new truck???

I think some bug and tar remover would work, I have a bottle of turtle wax stuff that works pretty well on mostly everything. Sorry to hear about the truck, all the tiny scratches though should go away with polishing and waxing though

I waited 3 weeks before I went camping. Of course, I was the one driving / parking it. So I at least parked it without trees above it.

I find a good cleaner wax works decent on sap. Just be sure to use a fresh applicator ever couple of panels, they get *****.

claybar, followed by fresh wax, then griots garage speed shine with a microfiber towell between washes. the griots will keep it looking great and it won't get as dirty between washes.

Wd-40 or rubbing alcohol on a micro fiber. Leave it out in the sun for a few days to let it dry it. Trying to remove fresh sap will just spread it. Soak one towel with alcohol or wd and rub the sap off. Dry with another micro and follow with a coat of wax

You explain to the misses that she will need to let it dry up. Then take some CLEAN towels in one hand and some cleaner in the other one.
Use this to your advantage.
It will require a "Bikini detail" so no clothing scratches it further. If you know what I mean!!!
