Why do I feel like my Hemi doesn't run like a Hemi?

Pistons are lubricated by oil being splashed by the crank shaft spinning. I really doubt the pistons are not being oiled. I am just hoping Vic is having some fun with us with his postings. Otherwise the engine has been seriously compromised with the lack of oil pressure, metal shavings, sludge and carbon buildup. Not counting the number of times the engine has suffered uncontrolled detonation. As they say, good luck.....

Got my truck back!!!

Got it back on Friday the 15th. The truck seems to be working fine. Though I havent yet tested it out by flooring it, which is what would cause the "diesel noise". Havent floored it because mechanic said to wait a bit since he put new parts. I will probably test it out this coming friday. other than that, I got my truck with a big crack on the windshield, from the passengers side all the way to the middle of the windshield. And it was not there before :/ but i dont know what to do because i gave the mechanic permission to drive it to test it out.

You told them they could drive it not crack the window. I wouldn't mind if it was a liitle chip but not a huge crack. Tell them to replace it or and least give you something towards it

Check your insurance. In fl they replace windshields for free and cannot increase your rates. Might be the same in texas.

Aftermarket windshields are about $500-$700. OEM windshields are about $2000.

haha yeah. You know any sites that sell them?

There are a ton of glass places in Houston. Don't try and find the cheapest place that will replace it cause it will probably leak and they will get the glue everywhere.

Hey Shadow I found some glass shop that'll replace the windshield for $125. I think i'm gonna go with that if they guarantee a good job and have some sort of warranty on it. haha I just hope I dont get no water leaks or they leave the glue showing

I have no idea but maybe you can get it done at glass shop where they put on window tint.

I finally floored it on my truck two days ago and there is no more "Diesel" noise. The accelaration seems better but still not as good as I think it should be. Though today, getting on the highway, it seemed like it was stalling and struggling to pick up speed. I would have to step on it more than you would on any type vehicle or double step on the gas for it to pick up the proper speed. Mechanic said I need to do an oil change this monday that it can throw out any other sludge that might have been left behind. Then do another oil change in about another month, then I believe another the following month. So i'm thinking the accelaration problem is being caused by that, and so I hope.
