Why so few Tradesmen/Express with Hemi and 8 Speed

So I'm looking at a Ram for my 1st truck. I'd like to get the Express with the Hemi and the 8 speed. It seems that it can be built on Dodge's site with no problems yet when I search cars.com there are none to be found only SLT trim with the Hemi and the 8 speed. Am I missing something?

I'm having the same problem in reverse, I can't find a V6 on an slt/big horn (I also want the ram box though so thats part of it). Hell I had 3 salespeople insist that it can't even be ordered that way until I showed them.

I have seen a couple of express/tradesmen models though with the hemi 8 speed on the lots near me.

hi. picked up my new ram 2 weeks ago and i went through the same thing with my dealer. i could have ordered one but, there were no hemi-8spd's out there on dealer lots within 500miles, so i went with the express 1500qc/hemi/6sp/3.92 limited slip.

I have a 2014 1500 Express, 5.7 Hemi with the 8speed. I didn't build mine but they had exactly what I wanted on the lot. A lot of what they had was express's with the 5.7 and 8 speed. In my opinion, I think your best bet would be going direct to a dealer.

I think it just depends on what individual dealers ordered.
The 8 speed is a $500 option.

I went to my dealership and they had tons of them. I guess I was lucky! I got black with a HEMI and 8 speed, 3.21 gears. I can't say I am in love with dial shifter but oh well, its a NICE truck!

I was at the dealer I got mine from last week for service. When I bought mine in Feb there were 9 hemi/8spd available, there were 10 of them last week.

My local dealer has 15 Expresses with the Hemi and 8-speed (9 regular cabs and 6 quad cabs). They also have 2 Tradesmans with the Hemi and 8-speed (1 crew cab and 1 quad cab).
