Will this work?

I found a pretty good deal on a used flashpaq. I just need to know if this will work on my truck or not. Mine is a 02 1500 4.7. I know the vehicle application is pretty wide, I just wanna make sure first. This is the pic he sent me

Since your 02 then yes it will work, but unless your getting a super deal on it I would look at the 3865. It has more options like trans tuning, and not to mention it's been discontinued.

I thought that the 02's weren't able to use the trans tuning options on the 3865, that's why I was looking into the 3815? And he is asking $145, so I thought that was pretty reasonable over a new ones price tag.

Can't use the trans tuning on anything prior to 04. The 3865 has datalogging capability though.

Is that bc they combined the ecm and tcm together as the pcm in 04? Or is it something totally different?

If you don't care about the data logging, go for it. Are you able to verify it is unlocked?

For what it's worth, I got my 3865 for $150. You may be able to negotiate the older model down a little.
