Working with basic layers

In this video I did a quick tutorial on layers so I basically just lowered the % and did it as an overlay. I painted the top new layer and the original layer.

here i made the front wheel of my tahoe black. i wish i had a better pic maybe ill get some tomorrow. i need to practice with the lasso tool, i know. but its my first shot. thanks johnny

that wheel looks good. you could probably use the feathering tool to make the line between the wheel and tire smoother

i still cant see what you used to darken the wheel. looks like the paintbrush?

yes the paint brush and i set the opacity to 28% then switched back and forth between layers like johnny. feathering tool huh. ill try that next
