If I bought the black A and B pillars, but left the headliner and everything else above the pillars tan? I really prefer the black interior, but at this time I don't feel like taking the headliner down.

I don’t think it’d look ********.

It might look a bit strange, but few people would notice.

Honestly to you it might look odd at first but if anybody else notices really it's not their problem it's your truck and it's a project in progress we can't all afford or have the time to do everything in one shot. I only say this because people have made comments about my front bumper lights but I just tell them idc cause I like it and I'm not done yet.

Well, I ask because I'm not sure I wouldn't think it looks ********. I guess if I buy the parts and it does, I can simply remove them until I'm ready to deal with the headliner.

Also give yourself time with it you might get used to it after a week or so

I did a quick mock up using Paint 3d. It looks kind of weird, but the transition from black to tan either starts above the dash, or above the A and B pillars. Neither one really looks good to be honest.

I like it personally

2nd Gen Rams had black pillars and a tan/grey headliner.
My 3rd Gen is the same as the 4-5th Gens with Tan Pillars and headliner.

I think it's all in an attempt to make the cabin feel bigger.

It probably is, but that's why I like it because I love the 2nd gens!!!

I've used fabric paint quite a bit, if you want you can paint that headliner. Fabric paint is actually one of the easiest paints to use, you just want to cover everything if you aren't taking the headliner out. I use the dupicolor one, something like a headliner that doesn't get often touched, you would do once and nobody would ever know that wasn't factory.

That stuff is pretty good. I used it on my TJ Wranglers interior, and it has held up pretty well. I wonder how it compares to Mopar DX9 spray paint.

I think that if you change the A/B pillar trim to black, you won't notice the tan headliner because it is above your eye level. I mean, how often do you look up at the headliner while driving your truck?

It's already two colors, you won't be any more bothered than you currently are in my opinion...if you don't like it the parts you bought will likely re-sell pretty quick.
