the thing is....I've looked at the Rigid etc..and they seemed to be EXACTLY the same as mine off ebay. But...at $2000.00 for a 50" bar? Da ***?

There is a video out there showing the light/build difference between the rigid and China...the rigid does produce more light.

But for the price difference....I'm just not seeing the justification.

Clearly there are people paying those prices though.

ya I've seen that video....but I have to say that my light bars throw off SOOOOO much light (see the video) that I can't see any need to have more. Hell...for how cheap they are I can add a 3rd 50" light bar on the bop of my bumper in front of the grill (which I MIGHT do) and still save $1700.00!!!

That's no joke there, I think I would be in love with a Rigid if I owned one, but I feel they are way over priced for what they are. $1900.00 for a 50" straight, granted they are hand built with extreme quality and made here in the USA which feeds our economy, but that's the farce they portray on everyone "Made In The USA", there's no doubt in my mind that they get materials from over sea's and assemble it here. The only people that Rigid and the other big brands feed are the hard core off road guy's, my light's are not name brand, but they do the job for me.

Wish I'd gotten a picture, but saw a 3rd gen in St. Louis last weekend with what looked like two 40's and a 50 mounted on his grill guard. He's probably responsible for the moon glowing at night.

They are easy... as long as you are mechanically inclined, you should have no problem fixing one up.
