Well thanks to a member here I received my Maggy y-pipe the other day. BLKMAGIC and I are looking at local shops to weld them in on both our trucks (once he gets his....hurry up ya bastid!).

Just curious what people paid to have them welded in and whether there were any gotchas that the installers ran into that we can try to avoid.

I have been blessed with the ability to weld and do all my own exhaust work... Saving me $$$$$ and some more $$$$$. I installed a y pipe on a buddy's 08 ram and it's about a 2 hour process by it's self it's a pretty tight spot. If you supply the y pipe you will pay a hourly rate and they will have to add in a little pipe to make it all work right. So 2 hours and about 5 bucks worth of pipe a reasonable price would be 80-100 IMO. That should give a close idea.

I believe I paid $120 for mine and they created a mandrel bent steal pipe to connect it. The area is definitely tight!

I will be having a shop remove my 14" magnaflow and install a y-pipe and pipe extension in its place. They told me roughly $100 including materials. I will update on actual cost once its completed.

I think I might have them weld up my Mufflex too, just so I never have to worry about it when we do the Y-Pipe install
