I have been watching some awesome builds and I guess I should start one of my own. It's a slow build but I'm slowly making it the way I want.
Got this megacab for a steal.

98f5dcad3d267a5191d2a70fb1f9de71.jpgIt had 75k miles. It was in good condition compared to my old truck that had 245k miles. There was some bad sections that were dinged up but besides that it runs great and can definitely haul a pretty heavy load.
I first fixed up the front bumper, painted it black and installed new fog lights since the last ones were broken. 811d783cfc4ecaa11dc96d41d3cc6801.jpga93be3a2c1ce1fd83359805ddab13305.jpg I painted the front and rear ram emblem matte black and started to debadge. I took off the running boards since it's not lifted and I thought it looked absolutely ridiculous.
I recently got a black mesh grill and it has now convinced me to dechrome the truck. I still need to take the chrome pieces off the door but I just haven't found the time yet.

the main reason I got that grill is to install some led light bars behind the grill. But I may return it to get a grill you can't see though as much.
Next is level kit, headlights and led interior conversion

Keep the grille. I like it a lot plus the leds will look really good behind it.

Also took off the resonator. Sounds better than stock. I never did like quiet trucks. Took off about 60 lbs from the truck and another thing is to put on a muffler. Any suggestions? I've listened to tons of video clips but speakers don't give the exhaust sound justice.
My favorite mod my bed lights. I love it and it's super cheap and by far the most useful add on. 9cc47c4b4b28cdea403a00aa668b8d5d.jpg0561c86628adfb4441304f9748c0663f.jpg29efe2bda00d7b5d132e33b03072b669.jpg

Those bedlights look awesome, I might have to do that soon. I just added a spintech prostreet 9000 to my Hemi and I love it, the idle is mean but cruising is fairly decent. It also didn't have any drone for me. It's pretty loud when you get on it though.

*For bedliner, mine came with line-x and I like it.
*I run stock Y pipe, then into a thrush welded muffler and let it dump straight out after the cab (just under the front of the bed)

I can't get the video of the muffler to upload right now but I'll try as soon as I can. It sounds good and throaty, and cost me maybe $35.

Cool. I'm definitely interested in cheap little mods that will make a difference! What exactly is a thrush welded muffler??

Never heard of them. I'll have to check it out. And the LED strips were only $7 off Amazon, at that price I thinks it's just crazy not to use them ! It takes more time than anything to install but once they're in they're awesome

This is a random search so make sure to get the right part. This is the muffler though. They're carried by advance auto but I ordered mine new on eBay for about the same or a little less because either way, they would have probably had to order the size i needed.

So I got a 17" LED light and 4 4" led pods. I'm getting ready to install two of the pods for reverse lighting and the other two and 17" up front. Originally I wanted it to go behind the grill.....but lately I have seen a lot of the LEDs in the bumper. I want to keep my toe hooks. The space between them is 29". My mock setup I have right now is 27". Perfect. Just having a hard time trying to figure out how and where to bolt it on on the bumper. Any ideas?
Here's my template, sheet of plywood because I like to measure twice and cut once. Need to get some 1" metal and maybe some angle iron to see what I can do....I'm open to any/all suggestions

For that exhaust, Magnaflow makes a single in / dual out muffler I used on my '07 MegaCab. I had the exhaust shop make me two new tail pipes, they installed double walled angle cut tips and no resonators. It sounded DAMN good!
