The build thread to likely upset mopar fanatics.... 2000 RCSB Turbo LSx Pics now!

I just sealed the deal on a truck ive been looking for, for quite some time...a CLEAN RCSB second gen ram, found me a 2000 that is pretty much mint in every way, I gotta load up the cummins and go down to pick it up next week( i have a gout attack preventing me from doing so now)

Anyways, plans for the truck will be a silly fast street truck...Ive had plenty of magnum based 360/408 motors...and they just cant make the kind of power/reliability im after, so i will be swapping a LSx motor into the truck, with a single turbo...Likely an 80mm, with a 4l80e overdrive trans..

truck will retain all power options, A/C will work, etc etc...

I dont really have an Et goal with the truck, but horsepower should be roughly 750/800rwhp, I have leftover parts from my twinturbo camaro build, so this should be a relatively fast moving thread once i get healed up and get the truck here.

The first motor in the truck will just be getting headstuds, l92 heads, rod bolts, and a turbo cam with LS3 intake...otherwise stock crank/rods/pistons.

Here is the camaro.

You have a point. I big single can make just as much if not more than smallish twins. Are you going to make it a front mount? Or a rear mount setup?

Front mount, with an LS under the hood, there will be TONS of room in the engine bay to do damn near anything, battery will be in the bed.

I could always use a little nitrous for spoolup at the track to avoid having to be on the transbrake for 30 seconds haha.

You said it before I got a chance to. Single turbos show good power uptop once they lite but a small 100 hit of spray will lite it alot faster. What sizes do you have at the moment off the car? The single 88 on the Jeep at the shop takes skill to get it to lite off a launch, where as the twin 66's are snappy.
