Hmm looks like its for select 08' to 12' models, so I guess time for some to have upgrade opportunities. If a mod would please move to the appropriate gen category since I posted in the wrong area - thanks.

This needs to be made more well know throughout this forum. I just dont understand the issues with the ram trucks. I cant say ive heard any complaints about the steering components on the 4th gen rams, especially in comparison to older models. That does suck for fiat about the jeeps that they have to pay for daimler chryslers poor engineering. In the end they should have just admitted there was a problem.

The steering recall is mainly for the 3/4 tons and up (basically in the linkage) i havent seen anyone with a problem before they swapped the recall part, i just think it was mainly a precaution, at least i dont know anyone whos lost controll and crashed. as for the jeeps again i havent really heard personally of anyone having their gas tank explode (if im wrong im sorry). it isnt really the greatest design yes, but from what iv seen theyve lasted fine so far. and the recall is just a hitch that kind of wraps around to the frame, so if you have a hitch your probably already safe.
As I said though this info is just personal experience. And from what i understand is its just the american chrysler corp that has the fines buy backs etc. so if your in canada you may have the recall but you dont have to trade up (again I dont think so at least)
Its all still sort of new info so its gunna be interesting to see how it proceeds

Well I'm not familiar with the old recall aspects being new to the ram family but I saw this news by chance and figured I'd share since there maybe others flying blind so to speak.

So maybe we can get a forum section going on recalls / issues with stickies or something.....

Personally if there was a recall on my vehicle (any) and I belonged to a forum specific to that vehicle, I'd hope it would be on that forum in some sort of nrws area so that I could find it , hence my post. Hope this helps some fellow members out there.

According to the build dates my truck should have a recall on the airbag issue but my VIN doesn't show any open recalls. Kind of aggrivating not know what to do and almost afraid to drive it with my 1 yr old in it.

The 2013 rams are also having front end issues. Mine let go at 40000 kms. Only two weeks in garage and 400 bucks for warranty work. Don't figure
