Probably should have sprayed it out with corrosion cleaner and dielectric grease before you sealed it up
It might end up like alot of cell phones that are dropped in water, they work after they dry out but eventually the corrosion gets to them and 3 months later they stop working

Hopfuly sealing them up like you did will stop it

Who made the fogs?

got them from retro but it was kinda my fault to i should of greased them when first installed and put them higher. But never thought id have to drive through 7 hours of rain either lol. Well least my custom tube did not suck up water.

Ya i sprayed them to just forget to mention it but ive also had them for over a year and a half with 0 problems

Interesting read, thanks for posting. It's likely I'll have to do this someday, if not with the truck with my 4 wheeler I just put HIDs on a few weeks ago.

Where do you have your ballast located? I might just do this as soon as I get my 55watters for my fogs. Don't wanna mess em up.

I got some cheap Xentec Hid's for my 4 wheeler a while back. After the first ride where the headlights and ballasts got submerged, I pulled the ballasts apart and they were full of water and mud. I cleaned everything up and put them back together. I then used clear silicone and sealed the ballasts completely and dielectric greased the connections.
I have had them completely submerged hundreds of times, sometimes for long periods of time, no problems.

I had the same thing happen to my 2010. I had the ballasts mounted right beside the foglights. I cleaned up the ballasts & relocated them as high up as I could (Pretty much beside the headlights), and I haven't had any issues since.
