don't know if anybody has asked... what is it that has to be cut exactly with the "cut" version of the brackets. Do you have to weld on the relocation bracket to the axel? Are there any Installed pics showing the difference between the two?

I'm sure there are others that are wondering the same thing...
On his Facebook page he has some pics of the removal of the upper mount and the bump stop pad. I'm going to bolt and weld mine on they will be permanent anyway so why not.

Cutting torch and cut-off disc, lol. If you have access to a plasma cutter,it's probably the best, but easily done if all you have is a torch. You'll want to lift the truck off the diff a fair ways, only cause the composite fuel tank is in the vinicity.

so correct me if I'm wrong...

with the cut version you have to...
> cut off the bump stop pad on the drivers and passenger side
> cut off the upper control arm bracket on drivers and passenger side
only the factory lower control arm bracket remains, this is where the relocation bracket bolts on to. So the relocation brackets do not have to be welded to the axle at all.

You don't have to cut the whole bumpstop pad off,if you're good with a cut-off disc you can leave it in place,at most it just needs some trimming on the front side of the pad.

Do you have any pics...
I'm trying to decide if to get the cut or no cut version. I'm at 2/4 but will be going 3/5 in the future.

Is it just me or does that look kinda flimsy, there is a large slot in both sides and what looks like an 1" of metal in the front and about a 1/2" of metal in the back holding it together. That looks like it should all be welded in place to give it good strength.
It looks like a good idea but it also looks like it should be made out of something a little heavier gauge if your going to run it with a large slot in each side and on welding.

They're heavier then you think, and there's still one bolt missing in the photo's. The plates are 3/16" plate same gauge as the stock brackets. Tires will spin long before you can throw enough torque to them to rip the plates, and if you slap a curb going sideways hard enough to bend the trackbar and brackets, you have serious issues and bent brackets are going to be the least of your worries, lol. You can weld them on if you want, nobody is saying you can't,but is it necessary probably not in the realm of a street truck. If you're building a full on 9 sec truck then yes i'd say you'd want to step up to a fully welded chassis set-up,but for the majority of guys they're more then enough.

I get what you're saying. It looks like the corners are square on the slot too which will focus a lot of stress to that area. It'll probably be fine for awhile, but over time its more likely to crack and fail there with some more spirited driving we do.

I plan to fully weld mine and add a plate to the back side to them give a little more lateral rigidity than the bolts.

600ft/lbs and some Hoosiers at the track, and I'd be a little worried.

The lower should be boxed in if possible on the backside.
Stock brakects are stamped then welded onto the axle tube by robots. If these are laser cut then bent, there could be some structural integrity concerns.

Since I drag race and beat my truck, I'd like to see these in a thicker gauge, and welded in.

Hmmm....

Travis 600lb-ft muplitiplied by a 5 :1 first gear is only 3,000 lb-ft,long ways off the tensile strength of a 3/16" plate. I'm not quite grasping the difference in a stamped or bent piece of plate. Ryan i'm pretty sure bends them in a press, which is no different then a stamping machine procedure, just on a smaller scale. You guys are worrying a little to much, and aren't figuring in what the actual torque forces you're applying to the brackets are. The slot doesn't have square corners they're rounded so that rules out who-ever was having concerns over square cuts in the slot.

Did I miss the group buy?

Are they a sponsored vendor? No.....So you didn't miss a group buy that isn't going to happen

Razor, i appreciate what you are doing working with a company that will benefit other people but please don't continue to work a group buy on here - it is against the rules that you agreed to when you made a profile on this site.

I understand that, when something does get setup it will be by the owner of that company. It will not be done here. Now, if Ryan wants to become a Sponsored vendor here, then that will change.

If he wants to setup a group buy on his site that is fine, but anybody posting here and advertising it and getting a count of members interested isn't fine is what I'm saying. If he wants to become a vendor please have him contact shaggy
