I know its been asked a hundred times and there are several posts regarding lifts/level for these trucks but, I'm finding it hard to get a straight answer for a 13+ 1500 2WD. A lot of people posting about the lifts have 4x4's and that wont really help me.

I'm looking to either level or lift my 2015 1500 2WD. The problem is, it's hard to find a direct answer on whether or not a spacer will work for my truck. A LOT of people say no because it causes a problem with the UCA's or ball joints. Many suspension manufacturers don't even offer spacers for a 2015... Some people, including a local mod shop say its fine, no problem, we do it all the time! I don't really know which way to go and I'm afraid my local shop is just telling me yes to get business without really doing any research. If the level will work, I'd like to see some pic's of other trucks with spacers up front on 35's, because that's the way I'm leaning right now. If the spacers won't work, does anyone have pics of a 2WD with the 4.5" lift on 35's???

Thanks!

MaxTrac Suspension: Truck Spindles, Leveling, Lowering & Lift Kits

Spacers, Coil Springs, Spindles... pick one. The coils will ride better, the spacers are slightly cheaper.

Theres no difference on the 15 models, so if it fits a 14....

Theres multiple threads with pictures of lifted 2wds within the first 5 pages. Im not going to link them.

A better question is why do you want 35s with a level? Too much power and MPG is too high in stock form?

Don't answer.. its rhetorical, I already know the answer.

Silver, thanks for the info. The MaxTrac setup is actually what I've been looking for but, I'm still curious about the ball joint issues some people have had with the levels.

Most of the time that's from people with 3" levels, or maybe more. And Ram had a problem with the earlier trucks and BJs but most people with the 13+ seem fine.

If you are going to lose sleep worrying about them, you have two options. Get the spindles or stay stock.

Out of all these options, I would get the 4.5/3 lift with bilsteins for 1k bucks, keep the stock ride quality and never look back. And 35s look a lot better with an actual lift IMO.

Or buy the coils and stick a 33-34 of your choice on there. Probably save 15lbs per tire and look better. again my opinion.

I have a Topgunz 2.5" level and Mevotech UCAs. I only paid $175 for all with shipping. I don't think a 2WD looks right lifted with 35s IMHO. That is why I did the level and I'm going to do 33s. A buddy has some Nitto Terras that are 33s w/10k miles on them he is going to let me get for $750 (if not cheaper).

True, he was just trying to insinuate something stupid.

That 35s belong on actual lifted trucks? Just because you can stuff a big tire into the fender doesn't mean you should? Taking the power and drivability loss of a 35 just because you can is silly?

Yes, all the above. But then you cant brag at the work place about "DEM 35s BRO".

You started a thread talking bout getting 35s and a 4"lift. Bilsteins at 2.8 and a 4" aren't much different at all. Hypocrites everywhere in this *****.

I briefly mentioned doing a 4" in my introduction, and there is a big difference between spindles and bilsteins.

Also, its common knowledge you never get the full advertised lift from bilsteins (on any truck) so say you get 2.5"~ at the highest setting, not much different between 2.5 and 4? guess there isn't much difference between 4 and 6 either?

You have been out gunned and out manned. Did that go how you thought it was going to? Nope. Im done with you.

OP... what wheels are you going to use?

You wont clear 38's...I can guarantee that. You wont even be able to clear 37's with those wheels

Lmao the maxtrac kit alone can clear 37s I added a 3 inch body lift and then 2 inch spacers on top of the coils I will clear 38s with some rubbing but I'm going to fix that with a custom front bumper from showtime metal works
